Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian” Leak: Expected January 2027

Retailer images show the Obsidian 12, its first retro since 2012; the January 2027 date and $215 price aren't confirmed, and Nike hasn't announced it.

Retailer images of the Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian” surfaced on October 7. Jordan Brand hasn’t announced it, and no shop lists a date. Sneaker News puts it at Saturday, January 23, 2027, at $215, and calls the date tentative itself; that isn’t confirmed.

We checked Nike’s own product data in the US, the UK and Spain on November 2. None has a row for CT8013-401, the code on the images.

What the images show

  • The colorway Obsidian/White-University Blue-French Blue.
  • An Obsidian-blue leather upper with a white pebbled toe wrap, white midsole and laces, and metallic silver top eyelets.
  • It’s one of the 12’s original colorways, last retroed in 2012. The 12 first released in 1996, so its 30th anniversary is this year; a January 2027 drop would land just after it.

What we don’t know

  • The date and price: no Nike page or shop gives either.
  • Which retailer the images came from, and whether it comes in full family sizing.

It follows the Air Jordan 12 “Fireside” on October 24. If you missed the 2012 pair, this is the 12 to budget for in January. More from the brand on our Jordan page.
