Update, November 2: Nike’s stock shows most sizes still there in Europe and a third gone in the US (How it went, below).
The Air Max Goadome Low “Black Croc” launched on Nike’s SNKRS app on Thursday, October 15, at $175. The UK and Spain had it first: Nike’s listings there show it on sale since October 10, five days before the US drop. It joins the Midnight Navy version of the same croc pack.
A hiking boot, cut down
The Goadome started out as an ACG hiking boot around the turn of the millennium, Nike’s answer to the classic six-inch work boot. The Low keeps the boot’s base: the chunky lugged outsole, visible Max Air units and ACG branding on the midsole. It cuts the upper down to sneaker height. Nike’s own description: the rugged parts of “the outdoor classic” with a “sleeker, more streamlined” upper.
This pair is black from top to bottom. The leather is croc-embossed across the toe, side panels and heel, the Swoosh is a small tonal hit by the heel, and even the outsole’s ACG badge is black. Up close, the croc texture is the only thing breaking up the colour.
Can you still get a pair?
In the US it’s on Nike’s SNKRS listing. In the UK it’s on Nike GB, and in Spain on Nike Spain.
The Midnight Navy croc pair has been on SNKRS in the US since October 2, at the same $175. Europe gets that one later, on Wednesday, November 11, on Nike GB and Nike Spain.
How it went
It’s selling, not rushing. Two days after the US launch, SNKRS still listed most sizes. On November 2, Nike’s US stock had 14 of 22 sizes left. Its European stock had 19 of 22, most of them running low. $175 is the benchmark if you see it elsewhere.
Since it came back, the Goadome Low has had plain colourways, polka dots and a Taller de Rafa collaboration. The croc pack is the dressiest version yet, closer to an old pair of gator-skin shoes than a trail boot. More from the brand on our Nike page.
