The 22nd Doernbecher Freestyle collection made its debut at the charity auction in Portland on Friday, October 16. Nike says the six pairs, each designed by a patient of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital with Nike volunteers, launch in the US on SNKRS and at select retailers this winter.

The programme has raised more than $49 million for the hospital since 2004, and 100 percent of profits go to the hospital, says Nike’s announcement. Every silhouette is new to the programme this year.

The six pairs

Nike Air Max 1/97 by Owen William Flint

A dirt-bike build, which Nike says reflects his passion for dirt biking. It’s an Air Max 97 upper on an Air Max 1 sole, with a brass dirt bike charm and a spinning-wheel lace dubrae. Lenticular graphics on the medial side look like the panels of a superhero comic, and the sockliner carries a diamond-plate graphic.

Nike Structure Plus by Aurora Loss

Pastel colours with cherry blossoms on the upper, faux fur on the collar, anime eyes on the medial midsole and chains draped across the heel. The sockliners read “cutsie hotel” and “Aurora’s Light”.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid by Royce Short

Rodeo and western wear, Nike says: braided laces and a lace dubrae, a silver pronged buckle, a croc-print Swoosh and an obsidian arrowhead graphic on the heel. The outsole reads “FISH ON!”.

Nike ACG Rufus by Charlye Cosgrove

Pink camo with fuzzy materials, a green textured Swoosh and a deer skull graphic on the outsole.

Nike GT Future by Kamoryn Marshall

Left and right uppers that don’t match, fading between pink and purple, with droplet graphics and a shiny silver Swoosh.

Air Jordan 11 Low IE by Avery Wilson

Aliens among its graphics, an Oregon licence plate pin and multicolour beaded bracelets with letter beads.

How to get a pair

Nike hasn’t given a day or prices yet, only “this winter” on SNKRS and at select US retailers. We checked Nike’s product data on November 2, and it has no listings for the pairs yet. Sole Retriever reports January 2027 and US prices from $120 for the Rufus to $200 for the Air Jordan 11 Low IE; that isn’t confirmed. Nike’s announcement mentions only the US launch; nothing has been said about the UK or Europe.

Doernbecher releases are limited, and with an Air Jordan 11 Low and an Air Max 1/97 in this year’s lineup, expect a competitive SNKRS launch. More on the brands: Nike and Jordan.
