The clearest sign yet of the Air Jordan 4 “Bred” return is a retailer’s own calendar: Foot Locker’s release calendar lists the Jordan Retro 4 Bred for Friday, November 27, at 10:00 ET, at $230 in men’s sizes. In the UK, The Sole Supplier lists 08:00 on November 27 at £210, but no UK shop has a launch page up yet and Nike GB has no listing.
We checked Nike’s own product data in the US, the UK and Spain on November 1: none of the three has a row for the style code the press reports, IX8180-001. That’s why this is still a leak rather than a release on our calendar.
Why the Bred matters
The Bred was one of the Air Jordan 4’s original colorways in 1989, the year Michael Jordan wore it for “The Shot”: the buzzer-beater over Craig Ehlo that knocked Cleveland out of the playoffs on May 7, 1989. It has come back several times since, including 1999, 2012 (with a Jumpman on the heel instead of Nike Air), 2019 (Nike Air restored) and the leather “Bred Reimagined” of February 2024.
According to The Sole Supplier, this one goes back to the 1989 recipe: black nubuck in place of the leather of the Reimagined, Nike Air on the heel and a slimmer, original-style shape.
What we know
- Date and price (US): Friday, November 27 at 10:00 ET, $230, on Foot Locker’s calendar under its own product number X8180001. The same calendar’s photo slot is still blank.
- Photos: JD Sports has product shots on its image server filed under IX8180-001, the code the press reports. They show black nubuck, cement grey wings and midsole, Fire Red on the heel and outsole, and Nike Air on the heel tab.
- UK: The Sole Supplier lists 08:00 on November 27 at £210.
What we don’t
- Nike’s own date, price and channel: no SNKRS page in the US, UK or Spain as of November 1.
- Spain: no date or € price yet.
- Kids’ sizing on Nike. Champs, Foot Locker’s sister chain, lists grade school, preschool and toddler pairs on its calendar; Nike’s own pages don’t list any size yet.
Our confidence is 99 from two independent retailer sources, Foot Locker’s calendar and JD Sports’s product images. Once Nike lists the code, this moves to our release calendar. More on our Jordan page.
