Oregon’s Mummy Duck Foamposite Pro was never for sale in 2025. The version Nike sells on Tuesday, November 3, is not that pair. It trades the team pair’s cream mummy wraps for a black, green-and-purple shell, which Nike’s listing calls “a darker, iridescent take” on the Ducks. It’s US-only for now, with no Nike GB or Nike Spain listing as of this morning.
Why a mummy at Penn State
The idea started with a road trip. Oregon dressed as mummies for its game at Penn State on September 27, 2025, the home side’s White Out night at Beaver Stadium. The look was a white jersey with black pants, plus arm, leg and head wraps cut like bandages that glowed green after dark.
The team’s own posts called it “Mummy mode” and “Prepare and Beware”. The look came with Mummy Duck Foamposite Pros, which Sports Illustrated reported were not on sale and appeared to be for the football programme only.
Oregon won 30-24 in double overtime, as Penn State’s own recap records. The team pair was wrapped in cream and tan bandage graphics with a dark green Swoosh, as Sole Retriever’s close-up photos show. A year on, Nike calls the retail pair the “Mummy Duck” 2.0.
Frayed canvas under the Swoosh
The shell is the usual moulded Foamposite, here shifting between deep green, black and a hint of purple. Nike says ghost feather graphics are etched into it, a nod to the Ducks.
The mummy part is in the details. An oversized Volt Swoosh sits on frayed canvas that pokes out like loose bandages. The laces are white and glow in the dark, as do other hits around the shoe. A mummified Puddles, Oregon’s duck mascot, sits on each heel, and the pull tabs carry Oregon branding.
Underneath is a black outsole with a Volt Swoosh. Cushioning is the Foamposite Pro’s full-length and heel Zoom Air, per Nike.
How to get a pair
It’s a first-come drop on Nike’s SNKRS listing and on Nike.com, in men’s sizes. At $230 it’s $20 under the Foamposite Pro “Summit White” from October.
UK and Europe: not listed on Nike GB or Nike Spain yet, and Foot Locker’s US release calendar doesn’t carry it either. We’ll add the UK and Spain details if Nike lists them.
Will it be hard to get?
Probably not on the morning. Nike’s stock feed shows all 17 US sizes at its highest level, which points to a full run rather than a token one. The pull is the story: a team-only pair from a game people still talk about in Eugene. More Nike drops are on our Nike page.
