This is the third Air Max Dolce Nike has released this autumn, and the first its launch page calls the Dolce “Leather”. The Metallic Silver pair came in September and the Black and Sport Red pair in October, both at $170. Each of those also went on sale in the UK and Spain, but this one has no Nike GB or Nike Spain page yet.
A laceless Air Max with a cage
The Dolce is a slip-on. There are no laces, just a moulded upper with an overlay cage and a visible Air unit in the heel, which gives the shoe its hunched shape. Nike sums up its past in one line: “From running to the red carpet, the Air Max Dolce has lived a life.”
This pair is black all over, in Nike’s words “Black and Natural”. The leather upper has a deep, croc-like grain and a glossy finish in the studio shots, with textile underlays beneath it. The sole and the Air unit are black too.
How to get a pair
It’s a first-come drop on Nike’s SNKRS listing and on Nike.com, in women’s sizes, on Wednesday, November 4. The two earlier colorways from this autumn, Black and Sport Red among them, are still listed on Nike’s US site.
UK and Europe: not listed on Nike GB or Nike Spain yet. The last two cost £144.99 on Nike GB. In Spain they were 159.99 €. Nike hasn’t priced this one there, so that’s a pattern, not a promise.
Will it be hard to get?
Nike’s US stock feed lists 21 sizes, most of them at its lowest stock level. The earlier black pair is still on Nike’s US site three weeks on. More women’s and Air Max drops are on our Nike page.
