Devin Booker’s Halloween shoe is dated. Nike’s product page lists the Book 2 “Scary Chapter” (IO7942-001) for Friday, October 30 at 10:00 ET, at $155, and Foot Locker has it on its release calendar for the same morning.
What Nike says it’s about
Nike doesn’t name a film, but its description leaves little doubt: Booker is “a big fan” of the skeleton who “yearns for Christmas”, and the shoe takes its cues from “those classic flicks”. Nike calls the colourway Sea Glass/Black/Multi-Color: a pale grey-green mesh upper with a Swoosh outlined in black, rows of black stitch marks running round the sides like a sewn-up seam, a green tongue label, black rope laces and a pull loop at the heel.
The details Nike lists are the fun part: BOOK dice, bugs printed on the sockliner and an outsole that glows in the dark. The tech is the Book 2’s own, with Air Zoom in the forefoot and Cushlon foam in the midsole.
Release date and price
- US: Friday, October 30 at 10:00 ET, $155, on Nike’s product page and Foot Locker’s release calendar, where it’s listed in men’s sizes 7.5 to 15.
- UK: Monday, November 2 at 08:00 GMT on Nike UK, £134.99.
- Spain: the same day at 09:00 on Nike Spain, 149.99 €.
So it isn’t a Halloween drop everywhere: Nike’s UK and Spanish product data hold it until Monday, November 2, three days after the US.
Part of Nike’s Halloween set
The Scary Chapter is one of the ten pairs in Nike Basketball’s Halloween 2026 collection, whose first four pairs went on sale today. Sneaker press call it the Oogie Boogie pair, and the dice, bugs and stitched upper fit that; Nike’s copy only names Booker’s soft spot for the skeleton who yearns for Christmas.
Will it be hard to get?
Unlikely. Booker’s signature shoes are general releases, and Foot Locker is selling this one online and in stores. We’ve scored it 24 on our hype bar (estimated). More on our Nike page.
