The Foamposite-shelled Air Max boot is back in its 2016 colorway. The Nike Air Max Foamdome “Electro Purple” is on SNKRS for Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 ET, priced at $265 in men’s sizes.
The shoe
Nike’s launch page sums it up as the Foamposite crossed with the rugged Air Max Goadome. The lower half of the boot is a rippled, moulded shell in Electro Purple, while the toe cap, eyestay and padded collar stay black. Underneath is a chunky Goadome-style sole unit: visible Air pockets along the midsole and a lugged outsole with purple panels in the tread. The style code is IX7255-506.
Most of the sneaker world knows this colorway as the “Eggplant”. The Foamdome came out in it in 2016 (StockX’s page for that pair), and House of Heat reports this one as part of Nike’s ACG line, a decade on. Nike’s own page calls it simply Electro Purple.
Release date and price
- US: Thursday, November 5, 10:00 ET, $265 on SNKRS. Sneaker Files reports select Nike Sportswear retailers will carry it too.
- UK and Europe: not listed on Nike GB or Nike Spain yet, so no UK date or £ price to give.
Who it’s for
Nike has leaned on the Goadome this year, mostly in its low form: the Goadome Low “Black Croc” and the Carhartt WIP pack. The Foamdome is the full boot for Foamposite fans, at $45 more than the black Goadome boot cost on Nike.com this spring ($220).
Our hype score is 35 (estimated): a returning colorway on a first-come SNKRS release plus select retailers, with no pre-release resale data for the 2026 pair yet.
