Nike’s own listing for the Air Jordan 41 that Foot Locker sells as “Space Jam” never mentions the film: Nike calls the pair “Meteorite”. It drops on Thursday, November 5, at 10:00 ET for $205, and Nike’s UK and Spanish pages have it the same morning, at 08:00 UK time for £184.99 and 09:00 in Spain for 199.99 €.
Meteorite or Space Jam
Nike says every Air Jordan 41 colorway is inspired by a gemstone, and its US and UK product pages name this one “Meteorite”; Nike Spain’s page, for the same style code, just calls it Air Jordan 41. Foot Locker’s release calendar lists the same pair, same date and same $205 as the Air Jordan 41 Space Jam.
The link to the film is in the details. Sneaker News reports a Space Jam 30th anniversary logo on the insole and an outsole that glows blue in the dark. November 5 is also the day Jordan Brand’s Space Jam collection starts, according to Nike’s announcement, which lists pairs such as the Air Jordan 11, Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 1 Low SE but doesn’t name the 41. Sneaker News says the 41 ties the anniversary to Jordan Brand’s current performance footwear.
The shoe
Nike calls the 41 “the most complete Air Jordan ever created”. The upper is a 3D-engineered nano mesh, new to Jordan, and the cushioning stacks a full-length Zoom Strobel unit and full-length ZoomX foam with double-stacked Zoom Air.
Nike’s colour line is Light Base Grey/Aluminum/Metallic Silver/Wolf Grey. In its photos the woven mesh reads pale blue and silver, the collar and heel are solid grey, and the outsole is an icy translucent blue with a black window under the midfoot. Style code HV6474-003.
Release date and price
- US: Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 ET, $205, on Nike’s product page and on Foot Locker’s release calendar.
- UK: the same day at 08:00 UK time, £184.99, on Nike GB.
- Spain: the same day at 09:00, 199.99 €, on Nike Spain.
Nike’s US data has it as a first come, first served launch on Nike.com rather than a SNKRS draw.
Will it be hard to get?
Unlikely. It’s a performance model at $205, sold first come, first served on Nike.com in the US (Nike’s data gives no method for the UK and Spanish pages) and on Foot Locker’s calendar, and the hype score reflects that. The rest of the drop, including the Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Magic Ball” the same morning, is in our Space Jam 30th post; more on our Jordan page.
