The Mind 002 Flyknit reaches SNKRS in the US on Tuesday, November 10. Europe got there first: Nike’s UK and Spain sites listed this exact pair from October 16. Both pages now show the pair as inactive.

Nike’s shoe for the mind

Nike announced the Mind 001 and Mind 002 on October 23, 2025, as its first footwear built on neuroscience. They come from the Mind Science Department, a group inside the Nike Sport Research Lab that studies athletes’ brains and nervous systems in motion.

The idea is 22 foam nodes under each foot that move up and down independently. Nike’s announcement says they wake up the sensory receptors in the feet, to help athletes feel grounded and focused before and after they compete. Nike says the work took more than a decade.

Eric Avar, Nike’s VP and creative director for Innovation, called it “a new sensory-footwear concept that helps reawaken the foot, the body and the mind”. The 001 is a mule; the 002 is the sneaker that holds the foot to the footbed. Nike said both would be on sale from January 2026.

Flyknit over the nodes

This version gives the 002 a Flyknit upper with engineered perforations, in Black, Anthracite and Dark Smoke Grey. The perforations show pale green in Nike’s studio shots, the only colour on the shoe.

The rest is the 002 as Nike designed it. Soft foam fills the midsole, and a stretchy footbed gives the nodes room to move. A rubber outsole adds grip. A toggle lace and a tall, fuzzy heel tab finish it off.

How to get a pair

It’s a first-come drop on Nike’s SNKRS listing and on Nike.com, in men’s sizes. Kith has also listed it at the same $145.

In the UK and Spain it was listed on Nike GB and Nike Spain, with no SNKRS launch. Nike’s European stock feed shows only two sizes, one of them sold out.

Will it be hard to get?

Unlikely. Nike’s US stock feed lists 18 sizes, most at its highest stock level. More Nike drops are on our Nike page.
