Kith x New Balance 2011 “Monuments” Drops Monday, 11:00 in London

Three New York-themed colourways of Ronnie Fieg's 2011 drop Monday, November 9. Kith's app draw closes Sunday night.

Kith and New Balance release the Monuments collection on Monday, November 9: three new colourways of the 2011, each named for a piece of New York. Kith drops it online at the same local hour in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo. So shoppers in the UK and Europe get their turn five or six hours before New York.

The draw is already open. It runs in the Kith app until 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 8; Kith doesn’t say in which time zone. Voyage Loyalty members get early access.

Park, Garden and Banner

Kith says each pair stands for a New York City monument. Park is the one with a past: Kith calls it an evolution of the Ronnie Fieg for New Balance 530 from 2014. It brings back that shoe’s quilted vamp and collar in mostly maroon, with atomic yellow and off-white, in pigskin suede and perforated nubuck.

Garden is light grey with amazon green, lilac, atomic yellow and fuchsia, inspired by flower gardens. Banner, which Kith ties to New York heritage, is princess blue with silver and orange, over a mesh vamp.

All three carry Kith and New Balance logos on mismatched heel pills. The box is printed with a map of New York and its monuments, the same artwork is on the insoles, and each pair comes with two extra sets of laces.

Why the 2011

The 2011 is the first New Balance model Ronnie Fieg designed from scratch, after more than 30 collaborations. Kith launched it in June for its 15th anniversary, with Bark, Redwood, Leaf and Sakura pairs.

The name is the year Kith opened. Fieg built it with New Balance designer Sam Pearce, who made the 991v2, on the ABZORB sole from the original 2002.

Where to get a pair

Park and Banner are at every Kith store. Garden is only in the New Balance at Kith shop under Kith West Hollywood. All three are on Kith.com and the Kith app.

Kith’s page gives no price yet. Nice Kicks put June’s 2011s at $200, and no shop lists the Monuments pairs yet. More New Balance: our New Balance page.
