Update, October 13: SNKRS GB has moved the UK release to Saturday, October 24, at 08:00 BST, still £164.99. We earlier reported October 10 from the same listing. The US release on October 5 is unchanged.
The Nike Kobe 10 Protro “5AM Flight” released in the US on Monday, October 5, at 10:00 ET. Nike lists it as “Blue Lagoon”, style code IQ5339-400, at $200 for men’s and $125 for big kids’.
The shoe
The colorway first released on the Kobe X in 2015. The nickname comes from a clip Kobe Bryant posted of himself diving into a pool at 5am during his rehab from the torn Achilles he suffered in 2013, and the all-blue look follows that story: blue mesh upper, black Swoosh, a translucent blue outsole and orange accents on the heel.
The Protro update is under the foot. Nike’s listing describes a full-length Air Zoom strobel paired with Cushlon 3.0 foam, a carbon wing in the midsole for lateral containment, and a traction pattern that keeps the original Kobe X look but has been reworked for grip.
Price and where to buy

- Other US retailers: Foot Locker, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Hibbett and Shiekh were listed among the Nike Basketball stockists.
- UK: SNKRS GB now lists it for Saturday, October 24, at 08:00 BST, £164.99.
Can you still get a pair?
In the US, Kobe Protros usually sell through fast on SNKRS, but this one also went to several US chains, so it wasn’t a single-draw shoe and some sizes may still turn up at retail. The original 2015 pair still trades above its $180 retail on resale, which tells you where demand sits.
In the UK, the pair hasn’t dropped yet: October 24 on SNKRS GB is the date to set a reminder for.
