Update, October 17: the Ale Brown released on SNKRS on Tuesday, October 13, through a timed entry window. This article now reads as out now.
The Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air Low in Ale Brown launched on Nike’s SNKRS app on Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 ET. Style code IQ6827-200, $125.
The shoe
This is the shoe that started Paul Rodriguez’s signature line in 2005, when he became Nike SB’s first signature athlete, and Nike pitched the retro on feel: its listing says “the flick and feel of the original returns.”
The Ale Brown pair is tonal from laces to outsole. Plush suede covers the upper, the tongue gets a textured finish, and P-Rod’s quilted pattern wraps the sidewalls around the heel. Underneath is a round-toed cupsole in matching brown rubber with a plate for impact cushioning, and a Zoom Air window at the heel. The one break from the brown is inside: a black and red sockliner with a chain-link print.
It follows the black and gum version of the same retro (IQ6827-001), which was reported for a summer release through Nike and skate shops at the same $125. Some Nike regional sites list this SKU as “Light British Tan”.
Price and where to buy
- US: $125 on Nike’s SNKRS listing Sizes vary, so check the listing for yours.
- Skate shops: Nike SB accounts usually carry P-Rod releases, and many sell in store rather than online. Worth a call to your local shop.
- UK: it hasn’t appeared on SNKRS GB, and no UK date or £ price was announced.
Can you still get a pair?
Likely, at retail. A tonal suede skate shoe at $125 was never a SNKRS fight in the way a Jordan retro is, and there’s no meaningful resale premium to report. Treat $125 as the benchmark and don’t pay much over it.

If you skate in them, this is the pair to beat up: suede and a brown sole hide wear better than the black.
