Update, October 17: the Tatum 5 “Sunrise” released in the US on Thursday, October 15, and Nike’s product page still has it available to add to bag at $135. This article now reads as out now.

The Jordan Tatum 5 “Sunrise”, style code IO1746-401, went on sale on Nike.com on Thursday, October 15 at 7:00 PDT (10:00 ET). Nike lists it at $135.

The shoe

The headline feature is the strap. A wide hook-and-loop band crosses the midfoot over the laces, and Jordan Brand’s launch notes say it is there to lock the foot down without adding weight. Under the forefoot is a 10 mm Air Zoom unit, and the outsole is herringbone in Nike’s HART 2.0 rubber.

The Sunrise colours are Bright Concord, Urban Lilac, China Rose and Bright Mango: a deep purple upper that fades to pink through a perforated side panel, a peach-and-pink TPU wrap under the arch and an icy outsole. Jordan says the palette comes from a Boston sunrise. The heel carries a new treatment of Tatum’s 0, shaped after the Gateway Arch in his hometown of St. Louis. A Sunset colourway follows later.

Jordan design director Tony Hardman put the brief simply: “He plays with poise, precision and control.”

Price and where to buy

  • US: $135 on Nike’s product page, released Thursday, October 15. Some early reports said $125 or $130; Nike’s listing says $135.
  • China: out since September 24 in full-family sizes.
  • UK: no UK date or £ price yet.

Can you still get a pair?

Yes. This was a general-release performance shoe through Nike.com, not a SNKRS draw, and Nike was still selling it after launch day. A few early pairs resold above retail on StockX, but on a handful of sales that said more about the China head start than about demand here. Sizes vary; $135 at Nike is the price to beat. More from the brand on our Jordan page.

If you want it for the court, buy at retail now: there’s no reason to wait for resale on this one.
