Nike has put the Air Force 1 ’01 “Nightmare” on its SNKRS calendar for Friday, October 23 at 10:00 ET, priced at $140. It’s the Halloween AF1 for 2026, and the pair sneaker press has tied to Hellraiser’s Pinhead since the first images landed.

What the Nightmare is

It’s built on the Air Force 1 ’01, the slimmer 2001-era cut of the low. The upper is black leather sectioned into a grid by Gym Red stitching, with small metallic silver pins where the lines cross: across the toe box, the side panels and the heel. Nike’s own description has the pins splitting the leather to show the red beneath.

Everything else stays dark. The Swoosh is tonal black, the midsole and outsole are black on black, and the only bright colour is the Gym Red lining, collar and the Nike Air embroidery on the heel and tongue. Style code IX0104-001.

Nike hasn’t named a film or a collaborator, so the Pinhead link is the internet’s reading of the pins and grid rather than an official tie-in.

Release date and price

  • US: Friday, October 23, 10:00 ET, on Nike’s SNKRS listing, $140.
  • UK: Nike’s UK launch page wasn’t live when we checked, so there’s no confirmed UK date or £ price yet.

Should you bother

Nothing on Nike’s page points to a limited run or a draw: it’s listed like any other SNKRS release at standard AF1 ’01 money. With no collaborator attached, we’d expect it to be gettable at retail on the 23rd, not a pair to stress over.

It lands a week after the Air Jordan 5 “Halloween” on October 17, so anyone planning a black-and-red October has two dates to remember. More from the brand on our Nike page.
