Nike has given the triple-black leather Air Max 90 SP a UK date before a US one. Style code IV4504-001 is listed on Nike’s SNKRS UK page for Thursday, October 22, at 08:00 BST, priced at £144.99 in men’s sizes.

What this Air Max 90 is

Nike’s description keeps it simple: the Waffle outsole and visible Max Air unit of Tinker Hatfield’s 1990 original, with stitched overlays and textured accents all turned black. The official photos show a smooth leather upper with a stitched Swoosh, perforated leather eyestays and a perforated heel panel.

According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, those perforated eyestays replace the usual plastic pieces, and the Nike Air hit on the heel is gone. The one break from black is a faint blue tint inside the Air window, visible in Nike’s own shots.

Release date and price

  • UK: Thursday, October 22, 08:00 BST, £144.99, on Nike’s SNKRS UK listing. It’s set up as a first-come, first-served launch rather than a draw.
  • Europe: the same morning, 09:00 in Spain, at €159.99 on Nike SNKRS Spain.
  • US: not announced yet. Nike’s US site has no listing. Sneaker Bar Detroit reports $150 and a Fall 2026 window; Nike hasn’t confirmed either.

Will it be hard to get?

Probably not. An all-black leather Air Max 90 is a wear-every-day pair rather than a collector’s chase, and Nike hasn’t made it a draw. Our estimate puts it at the easy end of the hype scale, though common sizes can still go quickly on launch morning.

More from the brand on our Nike page. If you’re in the UK, set the reminder for 08:00 Thursday: that’s the only confirmed date so far.
