Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Shanghai Fireworks” Leak: Expected November 11

Nike China's product data already lists the 2013 China-only Kobe 8; sneaker press report a $200 US release on November 11.

The Kobe 8 “Shanghai Fireworks” is coming back, and this time not only in China. Nike’s own product data for China already carries the Kobe 8 Protro “Shanghai Fireworks” (IO6259-800) at ¥1,399, and several sneaker outlets, Hypebeast among them, report a US release on Wednesday, November 11 at $200.

What we know

  • It’s real: Nike China’s product feed lists it under its own style code, IO6259-800, with the title Kobe 8 Protro “Shanghai Fireworks”.
  • The shoe: the 2013 colourway was sold only in China. Reports describe the Protro in the same orange, red and yellow blend, which Nike China’s data lists as Laser Orange/Safety Orange/Cinnabar.
  • The price: $200 in the US, per Sneaker News, Sole Retriever and Hypebeast.

What we don’t

  • The date: November 11 comes from sneaker press reports, not from Nike. Nike China’s data doesn’t show that date, and the shoe isn’t on Nike’s US, UK or Spanish sites or on SNKRS yet. Sole Retriever and Sneaker News still say only “Holiday 2026”.
  • UK and Europe: no listing on Nike UK or Nike Spain yet, so no £ or € price.

That’s why it sits at 95 on our confidence scale: the shoe is near certain, and the November 11 date is the part to treat as expected. We’ll move it to Releases once Nike or a big retailer lists the date. The Kobe 8 already tops our November list; meanwhile the Kobe 3 Low Protro “Mamba Eterno” drops on October 30.
